Delta Express will offer South African Airways customers the convenience of traveling nonstop between New York’s JFK airport and several Florida destinations beginning Aug. 9, 2002. The new codeshare service offers customers two daily departures from JFK to two Florida destinations, and three daily departures from three Florida destinations to
JFK.
Beginning today, South African Airways customers can reserve seats on Delta Express flights from New York’s JFK airport to Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa, Fla. In addition, customers can book return flights from these two cities and Orlando to
JFK.
"We are excited to offer this first time codeshare service between Delta Express and South African Airways," said Ben Darnell, director - Alliances. "Now customers traveling from South Africa will have the convenience of increased service to their favorite Florida destination."
Delta and South African Airways currently provide direct codeshare service between New York (JFK) and Atlanta to Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa. Delta also codeshares on South African Airways flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town to Durban, Port Elizabeth, East London, and George, South Africa; Nairobi, Kenya; Windhoek, Namibia; Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; and Lusaka, Zambia.
