The opening educational session at AIME will feature the latest in the world of business events. An international security and insurance expert, Peter Stening, will join a panel of leading event organisers and moderator Yeoh Siew Hoon, to discuss the impact of the latest security scares in the Asia Pacific region in a nervous post-Bali environment. Security advisors are expected to have an increasing strong influence on clients' choice of destination for business events.
Stening heads one of the world’s leading brokers specialising in political risk insurance which includes kidnap and ransom cover for large corporate clients. His company sends regular reports to clients on the latest hot spots with cautions on travelling and operating in specific regions.
The session will look at the practical impact of security issues, along with other short term trends which are expected to affect the health of the event industry in 2003.
The panel will include corporate, incentive, and association event organisers from Europe, North America and the Asia Pacific region.
The audience will hear expert opinions first-hand from experienced practitioners and have the opportunity to join discussion on realistic expectations and action which can be taken to deal with the current challenging environment.
The Forum will be held on the first morning of the AIME trade show on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Australia. |
