Skywards has launched a new club for its younger travellers that promises to be
as much fun on the ground and on the web as in the air.
Skysurfers is the new frequent flyer programme for Emirates and SriLankan
Airlines customers aged up to 16 years. Young Skywards members have already
been invited to join Skysurfers, which is tailored to their preferences and
interests.
The young “Skysurfers” receive the same benefits as members of Skywards.
This includes earning Skywards Miles with Emirates, SriLankan and its
partner airlines, and hotels worldwide. On joining, the new members will
receive their very own membership card, luggage tags for identification and
a personal flight log to record their journeys.
They can then redeem their Miles for free flights to hundreds of
destinations, for trips to the Wild Wadi Water Park in Dubai or desert
safaris and sand-skiing trips with Arabian Adventures. They can also use
their Miles for books, toys, watches and pens from partner stores such as
McGrudy’s and Rivoli.
Brian LaBelle, Skywards’ General Manager, said: “Skysurfers was launched to
provide our younger members with rewards and news that are relevant to their
interests. By doing so, we look forward to building a relationship with our
future customers.”
A fabulous launch party for over one hundred Skysurfers at the Emirates
Aviation College gave the new members a glimpse of the exciting world of
Emirates’ pilots, cabin crew members and engineers. They got the chance to
see the world-class training facilities and two lucky Skysurfers won a ride
in the Full Flight Simulator.
They can also check out the current movies available on Emirates, and read
reviews of the Movie of the Month in the Monthly Diary, which currently is
blockbuster movie: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
The Fun Zone features a travel quiz to test Skysurfers’ knowledge of faraway
places, e-cards that they can send out, a Skysurfers screensaver with which
they can personalise their PC and a great choice of games to play.
