7 July 2002

Dragonair is celebrating the launch of services to Taipei on July 22 with an exciting ticket giveaway. The airline is giving away 495 tickets to customers travelling between Hong Kong and Taipei who make a reservation between July 8-12.

Each day, the first 99 passengers to book a trip to Taipei - either one-way or return - will be given a free Economy Class ticket. They will only have to pay the relevant taxes and surcharges.

"We want to celebrate the launch of our Taipei services with the people who'll be travelling with us," said Andy Tung, Dragonair's General Manager Marketing & Sales. "We're thrilled about flying between Hong Kong and Taipei, and we hope travellers find our Taipei Ticket Giveaway a fabulous offer that's too good to miss."

Travellers can make a booking on any of Dragonair's three daily flights to Taipei, which begin operating on July 22, through their travel agent or Dragonair directly on 3193-3888. Dragonair Reservation line is open from 9am. If they are one of the first 99 to book on any of the five days during the period of the offer according to the reservation system, they will be informed the following day that they've won a free Economy Class ticket for the flight.

"Taipei is an exciting city to visit, offering great food, entertainment and shopping, as well as fabulous hot springs and sightseeing, and Dragonair is now a part of that excitement."

Dragonair will operate A330s on the Hong Kong-Taipei route. There will be three flights six days of the week; four on Thursdays.
