The results are in and readers of leading travel publication, Conde Nast Traveler, have rated Peninsula hotels even higher this year than they did in
2001.
The Peninsula Hong Kong remains a perennial favorite as it again took the Number 1 position among “Top Asian Hotels” in the 2002 Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards. Even more pleasing, the flagship of The Peninsula Group of hotels moved up several places to be ranked Number 3 among the 100 “Best in the World”.
A newcomer at just one year old, The Peninsula Chicago, made a strong debut by placing Number 4 among the “Top Hotels in North America” and ranking Number 14 in the world.
Discerning travelers also gave higher marks to The Peninsula Beverly Hills and The Peninsula Bangkok as the two captured the Number 6 spot in their respective geographical regions of North America and Asia. Among the World’s Best 100 hotels, The Peninsula Beverly Hills placed Number 21 and The Peninsula Bangkok, Number 39, moving up more than ten places from last year’s showings.

The results of the 15th annual Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards were published in the November issue of the magazine available in the U.S. this week. Nearly 29,000 subscribers responded to a questionnaire asking them to rate the best-of-the-best hotels, airlines, resorts, cruise lines, cities, rental car companies and islands. |
