The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has ensured that as host venue for the forthcoming Arabian Travel Market 2002 (May 7th to 10th), Dubai will have the largest exhibition stand, centrally located at the Airport Expo this year.
“Our stand is an exceptional 360 sq.mts. this year to accommodate the 50 travel industry co-participants from Dubai who will be exhibiting under the DTCM umbrella to present a strong and unified image of the emirate to the regional and international travel community who will be present in large numbers at the ATM,” said DTCM Director Director Operations and Marketing, Mohammed Khamis bin
Hareb.
He noted that as host venue, Dubai was staging the largest and centrally located stand at the event so that the travel trade visitors would have an opportunity to network with exhibitors and sellers and to directly address the target groups.
“We have created a stand which will provide an ideal platform for networking with travel professionals and customers alike, and we are positive that many valuable leads will be followed up and converted into new business,” remarked Mr. bin
Hareb.
“ATM is now the most established and largest travel trade event of its kind in the region,” he said. “The high quality and varied travel sector representation guarantees that ATM is an extremely important exhibition for those wishing to enter or do business with the region or those wishing to meet existing customers,” added Mr. bin
Hareb.
Speaking to co-participants at the pre-fair meeting at the Head Office in Dubai, DTCM Manager Overseas Promotions, Ibrahim Ahli said, “Last year, 30 co-participants joined us on the Dubai stand and this year the number has risen to 50 so the stand space had to be increased substantially to accommodate the co-participants.”
Mr. Ahli noted that the ATM has proved to be a magnet in attracting buyers and sellers from throughout the region and providing access to the best and latest goods and services from around the world.
In order to stand out and make a visual impact at the event, the DTCM has designed an imposing stand with tall wind towers as the central theme giving a tantalizing glimpse of old Dubai. “The stand blends the traditional with the modern with several graphic displays of Dubai’s tourist attractions and a strategically located nine-screen video wall to catch the eye of the walk-in visitor,” concluded Mr.
Ahli. |
