Players at the award-winning The Golf Club Kennedy Bay, near Perth, will receive a free day pass to the prestigious 2003 Johnnie Walker Classic, for every round played before 31 January.
The Johnnie Walker Classic, to be played at Perth's Lake Karrinyup Country Club from 13-16 February, will feature leading internationals including British Open champion and world number 3 Ernie Els, and fellow top 10 players Retief Goosen and Sergio Garcia.
"This is an ideal offer for golf enthusiasts," said Mr James Cooper of IMG, which manages The Golf Club Kennedy Bay and The Johnnie Walker Classic.
"It costs just $50 in green fees to play The Golf Club Kennedy Bay, which recently was named Australia's Top Public Access Course in the 2003 Golf Course Guide rankings," said Mr Cooper.
"In addition to playing a great course, the day pass to the Johnnie Walker Classic enables enthusiasts to also watch some of the world's best golfers play a major tournament.
"And because The Golf Club Kennedy Bay rewards every paid game with a $37 day pass to the Johnnie Walker Classic, it is easy for players to obtain additional day passes for family, friends and fellow golfers to join them."
The Golf Club Kennedy Bay, a 40 minute drive south from Perth, is a par 72 true links course, designed by Ian Baker-Finch in collaboration with Roger Mackay and Michael
Coate.
Opened in 1999, and progressively upgraded since, The Golf Club Kennedy Bay is constructed amidst undulating 10,000 year old sand dunes and natural bushland, and offers magnificent northerly views over Warnbro Sound and the Indian Ocean.
The Golf Club Kennedy Bay offers tournament tees totalling 6,420 metres; championship tees of 6,154 metres; regular tees to 5,851 metres; ladies tees of 5,298 metres; 1019 Bent grass greens; and tees and fairways of Windsor green Bermuda.
Mr Cooper said The Golf Club Kennedy Bay offered the opportunity for all players - from golf purists to golfing groups, social clubs and leisure golfers - to play and experience this unique links style golf course.
"As golf grows in popularity, so too does the desire to play the best courses - and The Golf Club Kennedy Bay certainly meets that criteria.
"I am confident that The Golf Club Kennedy Bay will remain at the top of the rankings in Australia as usage grows and as facilities improve."
In addition to continuous upgrading of the actual course, The Golf Club Kennedy Bay is also planning to invest heavily in improving facilities, with construction due to start shortly on a spectacular new $4 million clubhouse. |
