Japan Airlines and Air New Zealand have agreed to extend their code share flights between Japan
and New Zealand with up to two weekly flights between Nagoya, Japan, and Auckland, starting October
28, 2002.
From October 28, JAL and Air New Zealand will code share a weekly flight between Nagoya and Auckland on Mondays using Air New Zealand B767 aircraft and crews. Frequency will be increased to two flights per week from Friday November 29.
The two carriers already code share four weekly flights on the Tokyo-Auckland route via Christchurch and five flights on the Osaka-Auckland route - also via Christchurch on the outbound sector.
Recent tourism growth from Japan to New Zealand has included an increasing number of cultural exchange programmes and college students' language
studies.
JAL and Air New Zealand have been code-sharing flights between the two countries since 1989. |
