Air
New Zealand has introduced its first range of air fares from
Australia to the Caribbean, as part of a new campaign to
increase traffic on its USA services.
The
new Caribbean Paradise fares are available from Sydney,
Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Cairns to Bermuda, San Juan, St
Thomas Island, Montego Bay in Jamaica, Nassau in the Bahamas,
Grand Cayman Island in the Cayman Islands and St Croix in the
US Virgin Islands.
The
fares are among the most competitive available from Australia
to the Caribbean region, undercutting many existing rates.
They
coincide with Air New Zealand's recent announcement of
additional services to Los Angeles - two more nonstop flights
per week from Sydney to LA (for a total of five per week) and
four more from Auckland to LA (for a total of 14 per week -
double daily).
The
fares are offered in conjunction with four major US carriers -
United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines and
Northwest, which connect with Air New Zealand
flights arriving in Los Angeles.
Air
New Zealand's Vice President Australia, Mr Paul Donovan, said
the Caribbean fares highlighted the fact that Los Angeles was
the gateway to much more than the Americas.
"There
are enormous travel opportunities from the US West Coast, and
our Caribbean fares are the latest in a range of options for
passengers flying from Australia."
Examples of the special economy fares on offer, per person, include:
Sydney - San Juan: From $2399
Melbourne - Montego Bay: From $2399
Brisbane - Bermuda: From $2399
Cairns - Cayman Islands: From $2589
Perth - Nassau: From $2784

Melbourne - St Thomas Island: From $2399
A range of other fares is also available from each city. These deals are available for sale until 20 July, enabling departures until 30 November. Seats are limited at these prices and some conditions apply. Taxes are additional. |
