Virabongsa Ramangkura Resigns as THAI’s Chairman

Today (2 May 2002), Mr. Virabongsa Ramangkura officially resigned from his post
as Chairman of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited. His
resignation takes effect today.

Rumours are flying as to who may replace Mr. Virabongsa but former permanent secretary of the Finance Ministry and now Chairman of Krung Thai Bank, Supachai Pisitvanich, may well be in the running.
