Sanctuary Resorts, the Hong Kong based resort management company creating holistic resorts where people balance their body, mind and spirit, has announced the opening of its regional office for Thailand and the Mekong region.
The office, which is located on Bangkok's Sukhumvit Road will be responsible for development, operations and sales and marketing support for Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar and will work in conjunction with Sanctuary Resorts' office in Hong Kong.
In commenting on the opening of the regional office, Michel van der Hoeven, heading the region for Sanctuary Resorts, stated "the current potential of tourism developments which will fit our Sanctuary portfolio in this region is phenomenal and requires a presence closer to the source. We are currently working on a few exciting projects in Cambodia and Thailand, which are better served by an office in the region". Van der Hoeven, who has been in this region for the past 10 years added that growth of smaller, yet deluxe sustainable tourism developments is on the increase and that current lifestyle trends towards a balancing of body, mind and spirit in a resort environment has yet to be fully served in this region.
Sanctuary Resorts currently manages The Bale, in Bali and is developing additional resort projects within the region; all sharing the same values and programs. |
