Six Continents Hotels has signed a two-year sponsorship agreement on behalf of its global hotel brand, Crowne Plaza with 00 Motorsport, the V8 Supercar teams featuring leading drivers Craig Lowndes, Neil Crompton and Rodney Forbes.
The agreement, which also includes sponsorship of Car 27 driver Neil Crompton, will see Crowne Plaza become official supplier of accommodation for the team as it participates in the V8 Supercar calendar of events across Australia and New Zealand.
As the official accommodation supplier, the Crowne Plaza logo will appear on the 00 Motorsport team Ford Falcons, website and hero cards, with branding also appearing on Neil Crompton's suit and helmet as part of his personal sponsorship arrangement.
"This is an excellent opportunity for the Crowne Plaza brand. The V8 Supercars is a very high profile sport and 00 Motorsport is undoubtedly one of the premier teams in the competition. We are very proud to be associated with them," said Chief Operating Officer for Six Continents Hotels in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, Phil Lee.
00 Motorsport was formed at the beginning of 2001 and was expanded into a three-man team in 2002 for this year's V8 Supercar Series. With Craig Lowndes currently in the top six of the Championship Table, the team is in an excellent position to make its mark on the 2002 competition.
"Six Continents Hotels is expanding its network of Crowne Plaza hotels in Australia and New Zealand, with our newest additions including Crowne Plaza Christchurch and Crowne Plaza Perth. We hope that as the number of Crowne Plaza hotels in this region grows, we will be able to do our bit in support of the 00 Motorsport team," Mr Lee said. |
