Northwest Airlines (NASDAQ: NWAC) announced today the promotion of T. Jeffrey Putnam, 38, to the newly created position of Vice President System Operations Control (SOC) and Flight Operations Administration. He will be responsible for the finance, administration and scheduling functions of these two departments.
Putnam, who joined Northwest in 1992, has held positions in financial planning and SOC. Putnam received a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in engineering from Dartmouth College.
“Jeff is a skilled airline industry leader with management experience in operations and finance,” said Tim Rainey, senior vice president flight operations and system operation control. “We look to Jeff to manage the administration of our flight operations during a critical time for Northwest Airlines.”
