Dragonair is extending the range of inflight dining options from famous Hong Kong restaurants due to popular demand. Passengers flying in First and Business Class on selected routes will be able to choose from a menu containing dishes from the award-winning Yan Toh Heen Cantonese restaurant, authentic Italian flavours from Sabatini and delicacies from the renowned Super Star Seafood Restaurant.
"We've had a great response from passengers to the range and quality of the food we have prepared in co-operation with these fine-dining establishments and so are pleased that our customers can savour even more," said Ronnie Choi, General Manager, Customer Services.
First and Business Class passengers on Dragonair's Beijing and Shanghai services to and from Hong Kong will be able to choose from a variety of new and popular dishes between 1 September and 31 October.
"We're extremely pleased that this initiative has proved such a success," Mr. Choi said.
"Among the new dishes on offer are fried rice with crab meat and mixed peppers and sautéed prawns with bamboo shoot and shrimp roes, while favourites such as roasted duck will continue to be on the menu."
Highlights from the Hotel Intercontinental Hong Kong's Yan Toh Heen include pan-fried minced shrimp patties with dried shrimp and preserved vegetables, steamed chicken with Mung bean paste and pan-fried scallops with minced shrimp.
Among the dishes being served from Sabatini at the The Royal Garden hotel are rack of lamb with white bean ravioli in toasted shallot juice, veal medallions stuffed with parmesan cheese in morel sauce with vegetable risotto, and roasted salmon on a saffron risotto cake with basil juice.
Super Star Seafood Restaurant highlights include rice stick in stone fish soup, sautéed lobster with Chinese tomato vinegar sauce and deep-fried mandarin fish with shrimp roes sauce.
