Air New Zealand has finalised a contingency plan for the second 14 hour
strike action by international long haul cabin crew affiliated to FARSA (Flight
Attendants and Related Services Association) which will take effect from
midnight tonight until 2.00pm tomorrow, Friday 29 November.
The strike action will again affect some of Air New Zealand's services to
Australia, the Pacific Islands and Asia, in particular flights scheduled for
morning departures. On Friday two flights have been cancelled and fourteen
flights have been rescheduled with later departures.
The
cancelled flights are:

NZ 93 and NZ 94 operating Auckland-Nagoya-Auckland. Passengers have
been rebooked onto other flights operating into Japan with road or air transport into Nagoya if required.
The
rescheduled flights are:

NZ 66 & NZ 67 operating Auckland-Nadi-Auckland. Passengers booked on
these Boeing 747 services will be re-accommodated on two separate Boeing
767 aircraft which will depart eight and 16 hours late respectively

NZ 109 & NZ 110 operating Auckland-Cairns-Auckland departing 14 hours
late
*
NZ 71 & 70 operating Auckland-Hong Kong- Auckland departing three
hours late
*
NZ 23 & NZ 24 operating Auckland-Singapore-Auckland departing two
hours late
*
NZ 113 & NZ 114 operating Auckland-Perth-Auckland departing one hour
late
*
NZ 119 & NZ 118 operating Auckland-Sydney-Auckland departing 3.5 hours
late

NZ131 & 132 operating Auckland-Brisbane departing seven hours late.
Air New Zealand booked customers affected by these changes have been
advised and either rebooked on the next available Air New Zealand service or
with an alternative carrier at no additional cost to themselves. Customers
who are unable to travel on alternative options will be offered a refund or
voucher for future travel, depending on the nature of their ticket.
Air New Zealand and FARSA
