The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketings new office in Zurich (Switzerland) was officially inaugurated by DTCM Director Operations and Marketing, Mohammed Khamis bin Hareb at a formal ceremony in Zurich on the 24th of May.
The new office is the DTCMs 15th office in the worldwide network and the sixth in Europe. The new office will target the Swiss and Austrian markets to develop stronger ties with the trade and travel community, said Mr. bin Hareb following the inauguration.
He noted that the opening of the new office signifies Dubais long-term approach to develop powerful ties and build effective partnerships across Europe that is one of Dubais leading travel origin markets.
Last year itself, Dubais hotel establishments received more than 3.6 million hotel establishment guests and as many as 26% of these were from Europe, remarked Mr. bin Hareb speaking to the guests in an impromptu speech in Zurich.
Mr. bin Hareb commented that the decision to announce the opening of an office in Zurich was made by HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, UAE Minister of Defence and Chairman of the DTCM at the EIBTM in May last year.
