Alasdair Junor was appointed General Manager of The Evason Phuket Resort and Spa in October 2002. This saw his return to the resort’s management company – Six Senses Hotels, Resorts and Spas after a two-year absence.
For the two years prior to joining the Evason Phuket, Alasdair headed a hospitality development project covering France, Majorca and several locations within Asia.
His previous tenure with Six Senses was as General Manager of Soneva Fushi Resort and Spa in the Maldives. Under his stewardship the resort was awarded the Best of the Best Leisure Property in the world, by Conde Naste Traveller UK, in 2000.
After graduating from the Robert Gordons University in Aberdeen Scotland, Alasdair began his career in Jordan as the Food & Beverage Manager for Their Majesties, the late King Hussien, and Queen Noor. In this role he ran the food service operation for six Palaces with more than two hundred staff.
Alasdair has predominately worked with opening hotels in the capacity as General Manager in Kenya, Wales, and Scotland. He has a passion for the industry and encourages his team to work for the benefit of the client by leading by example. He is a patriotic Scottish national and has been married to Welsh-born Anna for eight years. |
