Finnair, a Finnish leader in e-business, has renewed its Internet pages at
www.finnair.com. The new pages are more customer-oriented, making
information clear and easy to find.
"You can always find the lowest fares and the most up to date information
from our Web pages," promises Site Manager Mikko Knuuttila. "Our online
customers are always first to be informed about new campaigns and offers."
The site provides all travel-related information and many self-service
options, including electronic check-in. Security and ease of use are
priorities.
Users who have logged on to the pages will be offered personalised services
where they will be informed of special fares, for instance. In the future,
customers will be sent service bulletins based on their own interests.
The site is organised into three distinct channels. The first gives access
for private customers to service information and fare offers. The corporate
channel leads users to multiFLYe and Company services. The third channel
focuses on Finnair Plus members.
Finnair, the national carrier of Finland, is a pioneer in its field in
providing e-commerce service. The company has developed a number of Internet
and mobile telephone based services. By 2006 Finnair estimates that most of
the company's sales will be generated via the Internet and that more than
half of passengers will be using Internet services, from making their ticket
reservations to clearing check-in. Finnair serves over 50 cities in almost
40 countries with over 400 daily flights. |
