The International Council of Tourism Partners has added
another member organization, the Outside Sales Support Network (OSSN),
to their stable.
Since the launching of ICTP in late May, this membership organization has consistently acquired new members from different parts of the world. From small countries such as Nauru to reputable worldwide organizations such as the World Tourism Organization (WTO), ICTP is quickly making a tremendous impact not only in the travel trade but to the whole world in general.
"One of our objectives is to establish strategic alliances with other organizations in order to provide a wide-ranging array of resources for our members," said ICTP's Vice-Chairman Nelson Alcantara, when asked why it was important to have OSSN as a member.
Alcantara mentioned that current ICTP members will be delighted to know that having OSSN on the ICTP stable
serves as a doorway to useful resources and will provide excellent business references and opportunities.
OSSN is an industry trade association that provides education and training programs for the travel industry. In so doing, OSSN helps its members by connecting them with other agencies and ultimately provide support to the needs of its members as part of their marketing directives to sell and promote travel products.
"The ICTP-OSSN partnership will bring major benefits to our members," said Alcantara, who also mentioned that
discussions on an upcoming trade event are already underway as a joint collaboration between the two organizations.
OSSN has been serving the travel industry since 1990 and has over 60 U.S. chapters and four Canadian chapters. OSSN's membership is approximately 5500 members and growing. OSSN is
a trade association representing the home based seller of travel, independent contractor and outside sales travel agent.
"We can expect various programs especially constructed to reflect this new partnership for both ICTP and OSSN members as well as the entire industry as a whole to benefit from," said Alcantara when asked about his expectations for the new partnership. Alcantara also stated that the programs being conceptualized will not be limited to events in the US and Canada.
