The Sofitel Ambassador Seoul, has completed an impressive US$7.25 million refurbishment in time for the World Cup 2002 competition
next month.
The main aim of the new look property is to provide improved and enhanced
facilities to give it a decisive advantage in the competitive corporate
hotel sector.
The facade has been repainted and a new Porte Cochere canopy has been
installed, reflecting a blend of Korean and western design motifs. A new
coffee shop, the Cafe de Chef, has opened and features both Korean and
International cuisine. It has a contemporary design with very popular
private dining rooms available for exclusive parties or functions.
A total of 110 rooms on the executive floors have been completely renovated,
and have been designed to incorporate 10 new long stay suites in addition to
the new and expanded Sofitel Executive Lounge.
General Manager, Nigel Harper, said that the Sofitel Ambassador Seouls new
exterior, rooms and Caf de Chef would assist in establishing the property
as a preferred choice hotel for the domestic, regional and overseas
corporate market.
"The new rooms and restaurant will assist in maintaining the hotels
position in the competitive Seoul hotel environment".
"The hotel will also maintain its dedication to product enhancement with the
addition of a remodelled lounge area in the main lobby which is expected to
be completed by the end of April. Another three floors of room renovations
are scheduled for completion at the end of this year in addition to this
first phase of refurbishment, Mr Harper added. |
