Hawaiian Airlines today announced a new flight schedule for Las Vegas service and the addition of new nonstop flights to Maui from Portland and San Diego.
Hawaiian will introduce nonstop service three days a week between Honolulu and Las Vegas on January 8.
On the other four days of the week, Hawaiian will serve Las Vegas with one-stop service via Ontario, CA. Concurrently, the company's current one-stop service to Las Vegas via Los Angeles will be converted to a daily nonstop between Honolulu and Los Angeles only.
Hawaiian is also introducing new nonstop service to Maui from Portland and San Diego, to supplement its current daily service between each of these cities and Honolulu.
Beginning February 1, Portland-Maui nonstop service will operate three days a week through April, then resume again in October.
Beginning June 1, San-Diego-Maui nonstop service will operate four days a week.
"We continue to experience very high demand for flights to Las Vegas as well as more nonstop service to Maui," said John B. Happ, senior vice president - marketing and sales. "The operating efficiencies and added flexibility of our new Boeing 767 widebody fleet are what make these additions possible."
Hawaiian is in the process of replacing its transpacific fleet with 16 state-of-the-art Boeing 767-300ER wide-body aircraft. The carrier will have 11 B767s in service by the end of the year with the full conversion on schedule for completion by mid-2003.
The twin-aisle, twinjet B767 seats 252 passengers, 18 in First Class and 234 in Coach Class, featuring wide-body comfort and the convenience of a 2-3-2 seating configuration that offers either window or aisle seating to 86 percent of
the passengers onboard. |
