World Class Spa at Ana Mandara in Vietnam scheduled to open early 2003

Travel News Asia 24 September 2002

Vietnam’s first world-class spa is scheduled to open at the luxury Ana Mandara beach resort, the luxury hideaway resort in Nha Trang managed by Bangkok-based Six Senses Hotels, Resorts & Spas, in early 2003.

Located in a beachfront coconut plantation, the holistic Six Senses Spa will set new standards in spa design with traditional Vietnamese architectural and water elements.

At Ana Mandara, four sunken outdoor treatment salas will be surrounded by pools and miniature waterfalls. ‘Back to nature’ changing areas with saunas and steam-rooms set amid ponds and lush vegetation.

Relaxation and private consultation takes place in traditional Vietnamese-style straw pavilions raised on stilts. Inside the spa are treatment rooms for couples or singles with sunken Jacuzzi baths, a Vichy shower and a Japanese bath.

Expert therapists from Sweden and India administer ‘East and West’ treatments including massage, face and body care, mind and body balancing, and beauty care. Treatments embrace a range of indulgent body wraps and scrubs, including the ‘Body Glow’ with mineral-rich sea salt, dried seaweed and fruit enzymes combined to smooth and silken the entire body.

Spa treatment packages as well as a spacious gymnasium with state-of-the-art equipment and a studio for exercise classes including yoga will be available for both resort guests and outside visitors.

Located on the beach overlooking stunning Nha Trang Bay, Ana Mandara is set in 20,000 square metres of private tropical gardens.

The resort, recently renovated to Six Senses exacting and unique philosophy and design standards, has 16 villas and a total of 68 rooms, each with their own covered terraces and modern amenities.
