Galileo International today announced the addition of Cebu Pacific Air of the Philippines to its computer reservation system. Travel agency and corporate customers of Galileo, a leading provider of electronic global distribution services for the travel industry, are now able to access this Asia Pacific carrier's full itinerary and pricing schedule, including Cebu Air's recently launched South Korea services.
"As Cebu Pacific is developing its international presence, we feel the need to market our product to as wide an audience as possible. Galileo's presence in 116 countries allows us to do that very effectively," said Veronica Lim, Director Reservations & Automated System Support of Cebu Pacific.
"With the addition of this growing Asia Pacific regional carrier, Galileo is able to offer even richer content to its travel agency customers. We look forward to assisting Cebu Pacific as it expands its international service, which is available now to Galileo's 45,000 plus agency locations around the world," said Janie Kaung, executive vice president and managing director of Galileo's Asia Pacific region.
Cebu Pacific Air was established in 1988 and has grown to serve ten destinations in the Philippines from its Manila hub. Its flights to Hong Kong inaugurated in December last year marked its evolution from a domestic to an international carrier.
Cebu Pacific joins the 500 plus airlines already participating in the Galileo system. Galileo also provides its agency customers with inventory and information on 33 car rental suppliers, 226 hotel suppliers, 368 tour operators, and all major cruise lines. |
