Shangri-La Promotes Eldridge Mayor-Parry Director of Sales for Western and Central Region, USA

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of Eldridge Mayor-Parry as director of sales for the western and central regions of the United States. In her new role, she will direct the five-person sales team and raise Shangri-La's visibility in the marketplace through promotions and special customer events.

Based in the Asian luxury hotel group's west coast regional sales office in Los Angeles, Mayor-Parry will be responsible for sales throughout the Midwest and South, including Chicago, Dallas and Minneapolis. In addition, Mayor-Parry will supervise sales activities in the West, including Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.

Mayor-Parry joined Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in 1994 as director of incentive and corporate sales for central United States and Canada. In this role, she secured both corporate and group business. Prior to joining Shangri-La, Mayor-Parry held various sales positions at Promus Hotels and Westin Hotels & Resorts in sales.

The US market is an extremely important focus for the company and will become even more so with the opening of our new properties in the Middle East and Asia, particularly in China," said Mayor-Parry.

With 38 hotels and almost 20,000 rooms in Asia, Shangri-La operates hotels in the Chinese Mainland, Fiji, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
