Virgin Atlantic has today launched a promotion for members of its frequent flyer programme, flying club. The 'Bonus Miles' campaign offers flying club members thousands of Bonus Miles every time they fly Upper Class or Premium Economy between 20 September 2002 and 31 January 2003.
All flying club members, in addition to their standard competitive mileage, will earn 5,000 Bonus Miles for each sector flown in Upper Class and 3,000 Bonus Miles for each sector flown in Premium Economy during the qualifying period.
When flying club gold members have accumulated 15,000 Bonus Miles they are entitled to choose one of four exclusive rewards for free. When flying club silver members have accumulated 15,000 Bonus Miles they can redeem their miles for one of the four rewards. flying club red members will simply receive the Bonus Miles, however, if they do reach 15,000 Bonus Miles they will become a silver member, entitling them to redeem their miles for rewards.
The exclusive rewards that flying club members can choose from are as follows:
- 12 months membership of Executive Golf Club (UK & Ireland) which offers the member and up to three guests, access to over 100 golf courses, plus discounts off green fees.

A one night stay at one of three London Hilton hotels for two people
- A one night stay at The Lowndes Hotel, Belgravia, for two people
- A choice of two floatation experiences at Nirvana Spa, access to all facilities, light lunch/dinner and refreshments
