Gaye Wood appointed as Regional Manager NSW, Air New Zealand

Air New Zealand has appointed Ms Gaye Wood as Regional Manager NSW, effective from Monday 2 September.

Ms Wood, currently National Director Sales and Marketing for Voyager Travel, has spent more than 20 years in the Australasian travel industry, starting as a management trainee with Air New Zealand.

Prior to her Voyager position, Ms Wood was Regional Manager, South Pacific, for American Airlines.

Air New Zealand's Vice President Australia, Mr Paul Donovan, said Ms Wood would bring considerable experience to her new role, and become a valuable member of Air New Zealand's Australian management team.

"With the appointment of Gaye, we have finalised our management structure for Australia," said Mr Donovan.

"We are now focusing on revenue growth, and are moving to expand our services from Sydney to Auckland, Christchurch and Los Angeles, following earlier service increases from Brisbane, Cairns and Perth to New Zealand.

"We welcome particularly Gaye's expertise in the Australia - USA market, where we will increase our nonstop Sydney - Los Angeles flights from three to five per week from October."
