All around brilliance for U.S. Peninsula Hotels in AAA Five Diamond Awards

All three Peninsula hotels in the U.S. are among a select group of only 77 hotels to win the prestigious 2003 AAA Five Diamond Award announced this week.

Conferred by the American Automobile Association each year, the Five Diamond Awards recognize lodgings and restaurants in the U.S.A., Canada and Mexico meeting an “incredible standard of excellence and consistently delivering memorable travel and dining experiences with world-class service”.

The Peninsula Beverly Hills demonstrates its finesse at achieving consistent levels of excellence by attaining the coveted Five Diamond status for 10 consecutive years. The Belvedere restaurant in the hotel is as highly regarded, winning the Five Diamond Award for the 8th year in a row.

The Peninsula New York shines again by being named a Five Diamond winner for the 4th year running while newcomer, The Peninsula Chicago is already recognized as a Five Diamond establishment after having been open for just one year.

More than 42,000 properties were subjected to stringent evaluations conducted unannounced by the Association’s team of 60 professionally trained inspectors. Less than one-third of 1 percent, or just 77 hotels and 53 restaurants met the Five Diamond criteria for being outstanding.
