A
new virus has been discovered that is now making its rounds, and could
potentially, have devastating effects if your system is not adequately
protected. The
virus, W.32.Bugbear@mm, comes with many 'genuine' subject lines in the emails it sends
out, subject lines which are so genuine looking, that you would probably
open them without any second thought. Plus
it needs to be understood, that the email address that it seems to come
from, does not mean that that address is infected, nor does it mean that
email address was in fact the original sender. So there is absolutely no
point (corporations who have their antivirus system set to automatically
respond to sender please take note) in replying or sending a message to the supposed sender informing
him/her of the virus that came with the email. The
reason the virus can do this, is once it has infected a computer it can
then use its own SMTP email system to send out emails to anyone on that
persons computer and make it look like it is from anyone whose email
address is also on that computer. Please
