Hertz Egypt will open a new branch in the Maadi area of Cairo next month to meet the increasing demand for both car rental and limousine services. It becomes the 11th Hertz car rental branch in the country.
Many major multinational companies, including the petroleum industry, are now based in Maadi, said Andy Johnston, General Manager of Hertz Egypt. This has always been one of the upscale residential areas housing a large expatriate community which in turn, gives rise to many visitors needing quality transportation and chauffeur services.
Since starting operations in 1979 with a centrally located office in Cairos Garden City area, Hertz Egypt has consistently increased its car rental fleet and locations to meet a steady demand from local and international markets.
Our development programme is designed to ensure we continue to provide the leading car rental service in Egypt to the corporate sector as well as business and leisure travellers, from a growing number of locations throughout the country, continued Johnston.
The companys network of car rental locations, initially concentrated on five-star hotels, has spread to keep pace with the rapidly developing tourism industry in the Red Sea region as well as locations throughout Greater Cairo.
The current Hertz fleet mix covers a full range of vehicles, from economical VW Polos, to mid-sized sedans and specialised 4WDs and mini vans. Chauffeur drive is a highly popular option with all vehicles, while prestige vehicles are available for short trips, or full day rentals.
With a head office branch in Cairo, Hertz Egypts ten other car rental outlets are at Cairo International Airport, Ramses Hilton Hotel Cairo, Semiramis Inter-Continental Cairo, Pyramids Park Inter-Continental Resort Cairo, Le Meridien Pyramids Hotel Cairo, Helnan Shepherd Hotel Cairo, ICC Centre, Alexandria Road, Giza, Aden Beach Resort Hurghada, and Sanafir Hotel Sharm El Sheikh.
Hertz is the worlds largest and longest established vehicle rental company and operates from more than 7,000 locations in over 150 countries.
