China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNH) (HKSE: 1055),
the largest airline in The People's Republic of China for the past 23 years, has today launched its new daily Boeing 777 service between Guangzhou, China and Tokyo, Japan.
This new daily China Southern Airlines route will use the state-of-the-art Boeing 777B aircraft and marks the carrier's third service to Japan including its Guangzhou-Osaka and Guangzhou-Fukuoka operations.
Today's new service marks the very first time that China Southern Airlines has opened new international flight service with daily frequency.
China Southern Airlines is also today expanding its service between Guangzhou and Osaka to a daily service.
"We are bullish on Japan," said Mr. Wang Changshun, President, China Southern Airlines, adding, "We believe in the Tokyo market and the business and leisure traffic that it will generate between China and Japan."
To celebrate today's new daily 777 service, China Southern Airlines will offer double Sky Pearl Club frequent flyer miles - through July 31 - on this new Tokyo/Guangzhou route.
Sky Pearl Club members can earn mileage from domestic Chinese cities to Guangzhou; from international destinations to Guangzhou and to other cities in Japan served by China Southern Airlines.
All China Southern Airlines' confirmed and ticketed passengers who cannot connect to their CZ flight - on the same day in Guangzhou - will be offered a free overnight stay at the airline's airport hotel.
