Galileo International, a leading provider of electronic global distribution services for the travel industry, today announced that it has deployed e-ticketing with Continental Airlines (CO) in Hong Kong and with Lufthansa (LH) in Hong Kong and Singapore.
By deploying e-ticketing, airlines contribute to their own operational cost-efficiencies, improve their revenue accounting processes and enhance service to their customers. E-ticketing allows travellers to enjoy greater freedom and efficiency. Galileo's agency customers will also enjoy benefits from this service enhancement.
"All parties in the travel equation, including Galileo's airline customers, travel agencies, and travellers in the Asia Pacific benefit from these latest e-ticketing successes in the Galileo® system," said Janie Kaung, executive vice president and managing director of Galileo's Asia Pacific region.
"Galileo continues to work with the major airlines serving the Asia-Pacific region to increase the deployment and adoption of this service."
Worldwide, Galileo's computer reservation systems now include 43 airlines offering e-ticketing in 36 countries. In Asia Pacific, Galileo has implemented e-ticketing with 16 airlines in five markets - Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong.
