Chiva Som International Health Resort launches new Spa Cuisine Cooking School

Chiva Som Luxury Health Resort has created a new Spa Cuisine Cooking School at the resort so as to allows guests to take home some of Chiva Som’s secrets on preparing healthy, nutritious spa cuisine.

With more than seven years experience in preparing delicious spa cuisine, Chiva Som resident Thai chef, Kuttiya Nimcean guides guests through several easy steps to creating dishes that are healthy yet still full of flavour.

Chiva-Som guests take their lessons in a purpose built Kitchen Classroom. Guests learn how to prepare and cook food in Chiva Som’s spa cuisine style with no salt, sugar or oil. At any one class guests learn how to prepare four different dishes. Individual attention is provided by keeping the class size down to six.

The Spa Cuisine at Chiva Som is generally considered by guests to be one of the highlights of a stay at Chiva Som, so the new classes are expected to be a great hit with guests. All food served at Chiva Som is calorie-counted and prepared to be healthy while maintaining strong and delicious flavours. As such, guests are able to feast on fine foods while become healthier in the process.

The cooking classes are available for both in-house and external guests, with weekly classes being held for in-house guests and monthly classes for external guests. All guests who take part in the cooking class receive a Chiva Som apron as a souvenir of their healthy new cooking skills. 

For external guests, lunch is also included at The Emerald Restaurant after the class. Prices for external guests start at Bt 3,500 ++ per person and for in-house guests from Bt 2,500 ++ per person.
