Six Continents Hotels has appointed a new Area Director of Marketing NSW to build synergies among its brands and individual hotels and foster continued growth across all markets.
The new Area Director of Marketing NSW, Bruce Ryde brings 25 years of hotel and travel experience to the role, which will see him drive the marketing activities of half of the Six Continents Hotels properties in New South Wales including the two newest additions to the Group's portfolio, Holiday Inn Darling Harbour and Holiday Inn Rooty Hill.
Bruce will work closely with the Director of National and Global Sales, Geoffrey Webb and the Six Continents Hotels National Sales Team as well as the Group's regional marketing department to develop new marketing and promotional opportunities at both a hotel and portfolio level.
"The expansion of our portfolio in New South Wales has resulted in a network of strategically located hotels with very strong potential. With Bruce's appointment we are looking to build on these strengths and consolidate the position of each of our hotels within their competitive sets," said Six Continents Hotels Chief Operating Officer for Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, Phil Lee.
"We plan to continue the rollout of our global brands in New South Wales through the re-branding of hotels already within our portfolio and the introduction of new properties to the Six Continents Hotels network. Bruce's role is crucial to this process and it's great to have him on board," Mr Lee said.
Prior to joining Six Continents Hotels, Bruce was Managing Director of corporate accommodation and event management company, The LIDO Group. Bruce also spent six years with Furama Hotels International as Director of Sales and Marketing and later as General Manager - Australia.
