The Tourism Authority
of Thailand (TAT) has appointed two new deputy governors for Marketing and Administration and reshuffled a number of
department directors.
Following the appointment of Mrs. Juthamas Siriwan as TAT
Governor in August 2002, the post of TAT Deputy Governor for Marketing fell vacant.
This position has now been assumed by Mr. Santichai
Euachongprasit, effective October4, 2002. Mr. Santichai was formerly Deputy Governor for Administration,
and that post has now been filled by Ms. Pensuda Priaram.
Mr. Patpong Abhijatapong remains in his post as Deputy Governor
for Planning and Development.
Other senior posts ranking
have also been adjusted. These
include:
- Former Director of the Japan Region Mr. Mana Chobtum has become Director of
the Governor’s Office;
- Former Director of the Governor’s Office Mr. Paisan Wangsai has become
Director of the Japan Region;
- Former Director of the General Administration Department Mr. Sansern
Ngaorungsi has become Director of the Planning Department; and

Former Director of the Planning Department Mr. Vunsadej Thavarasukha has
become Director of the General Administration Department;

Former Director of the Budget Division Mrs. Vilaiwan Twichsri has been
promoted to Director of the Budget and Accounting Department.
BIO-DATA
Mr. Santichai Euachongprasit, Deputy Governor for
Marketing
Mr. Santichai graduated from the Faculty of Political Science (Public
Administration), Thammasat University, and completed his Masters degree in
Marketing from the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy from the same university and MA in (Political Science),
Purdue University, USA.
He has previously held the posts of Director of the Planning Division,
Director of TAT’s Los Angeles Office, Director of the Technical Division and Director of the
Planning Department. He was promoted to Deputy Governor for Planning and
Development (1999-2001), Deputy Governor for Administration (2001-2002) and
finally Deputy Governor for Marketing.
Ms. Pensuda Priaram, Deputy Governor for Administration
Born on September 9, 1951, Ms. Pensuda joined TAT in December
16, 1975. She graduated from Bangkok University with a degree in accountancy and completed
a Masters degree in Development Administration from the National Institute of
Development Administration (NIDA).
She initially started her career in the Accounting and Financial
Section. In 1986, she worked as Deputy Director of TAT’s Sydney Office. She was later promoted
to Chief of the Distribution Section, Director of the Revenue Division, Director of
the Finance Division, Director of the Personnel Division and finally Director of the
Budget and Accounting Department. |
