The
award winning hotel, the Meliá Hanoi, centrally located in the heart of the Vietnamese capital city, has become a member of the Great Hotels of the World, a global alliance of some 300 luxury hotels and resorts offering exceptional service and premium facilities to discerning travellers.
The hotel has also become the only hotel in Vietnam to be inducted into the Great Incentive Hotels of the World collection, one of the four collections offered by the alliance. The criteria for hotels to be accepted into this incentive collection include the availability of outstanding meetings facilities, supported by a team that demonstrates a dedicated understand of the meetings and events needs of the world's top corporations.
Offering the most extensive meetings facilities in Hanoi, Meliá Hanoi's Grand Ballroom is the largest pillarless ballroom in Vietnam, with a capacity for up to 1,200 guests in a standing cocktail. It can be further partitioned into three separate independent sections. In addition, the hotel offers seven meeting rooms, all of which are equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and fully supported by well-trained technicians and service staff.
Since its opening, Meliá Hanoi has been a popular venue for a growing number of meetings and conferences including large-scale diplomatic and ministerial events. Recent conferences that the hotel has hosted include the 34th ASEAN Ministers Meeting in July, the 33rd ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting (AEM-33) in September and the PETRO Vietnam Asia-Pacific Meeting in September.
Commenting on the announcement, Meliá Hanoi's General Manager, Mr Alfonso Romero, said: "We are very proud to be a member of Great Hotels of the World. This induction reaffirms our positioning as an outstanding hotel that has met the rigorous criteria that members of this luxury alliance uphold. Guests and visitors to our hotel can be assured of the quality of our facilities and services."
