Six Continents Hotels has announced a new management contract for a Inter-Continental Hotel in Jakarta, marking further expansion of the group's global brands across Asia Pacific. This follows the strategic acquisition of Hotel Inter-Continental Hong Kong by the group in late 2001, which essentially marked the start of the revitalization of the Inter-Continental brand.
Formerly the Kempinski Hotel Plaza, Hotel Inter-Continental Midplaza Jakarta is part of Six Continents Hotels' strategy to revitalize the brand and grow its presence across the region. The organization aims to build a global suite of high-growth, high-return hotel brands that are market leaders, enhancing revenues and returns for its shareholders.
