Singapore Airlines (SIA) has won the coveted OAG Airline Of The Year award for the fourth time. It was presented to Mr Vijendran Alfreds, SIA's General Manager for the UK and Ireland, at a ceremony held at London's Grosvenor House Hotel last night.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Awards, which are based on a questionnaire completed by a worldwide audience of OAG frequent business travellers. The results are independently verified by research company Taylor Nelson
Sofres.
In addition to winning the Airline of the Year award, SIA was also named Best Airline Based In Asia, Best Trans-Pacific Airline, and the Airline With The Best Executive/Business Class.
SIA's performance record at the annual OAG Airline of the Year Awards is unparalleled. It has been ranked first or second no fewer than 17 times in the past 20 years.
