SWISS is expanding its communications and marketing activities. In view of the growing demand for both activities, the company is to split these functions at the corporate level into separate Corporate Communications and Events & Sponsoring units. Both units will also be increased in size.
Corporate Communications will be headed by Peter Marthaler, while Corporate Affairs, which includes events, sponsoring and publishing, will be led by Ruth Züblin.
Peter Marthaler (51) is currently a freelance journalist who is also active on the media training front. A qualified commercial helicopter pilot, Marthaler served as a radio and TV reporter for Switzerland’s national media for 20 years, specialising in aviation issues. He will assume his new duties as Vice President Corporate Communications, in charge of SWISS’s internal and external communications, on September 1.
Ruth Züblin (44), Head of Corporate Affairs, already serves on CEO André Dosé’s staff team in a vice-presidential capacity. Züblin has been with SWISS and its predecessor Crossair for the last 12 years, building up the company’s international communications, sponsoring and advertising activities.
The division of the present organisation into Corporate Communications and Events & Sponsoring will be formally effected on September 1. |
