The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketings (DTCM) Training Solutions and Merit International Hospitality Educational Institute recently conducted the world launch of the Certified Hospitality Trainer Program run by the American Hotel & Lodging Association - Educational Institute.
At a ceremony held recently at Hyatt Regency, thirty-three Trainers received their Certification as Master Trainers in the Hospitality Industry. The CHT designation is one of the highest achievements awarded by the Educational Institute. To qualify for this distinction, hospitality professionals must demonstrate their skills and abilities through academic achievements and industry experience. The program requires each candidate to complete a comprehensive examination that test skills in the areas of hotel operations, financial management, human relations, human resource management, and administrative skills.
It is part of our long term plan to provide values-based training that is specific to Dubai and the industry and we believe that hospitality trainers play a major role in ensuring that services offered by Dubais hotels are to world standards by providing constant training, said DTCM Director General, Khalid A bin Sulayem.
DTCMs Training Solution offers multi-track solutions designed to work for the industry and provides HR and Training managers from within the tourism industry an opportunity to add value to their own programmes by combining Training Solutions courses with their own.
