The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) received the Most Innovative Destination award on behalf of Dubai at the recently concluded Moscow International Travel and Tourism Fair (MITT) in Russia.

Being innovative entails having sufficient resources, adequate infrastructure, a strong tradition of business and the ability to think outside the box and come up with new ideas and execute them and Dubai has positioned itself as an exciting leisure destination on the world map, stressed Mr. bin

More than 30 travel industry co-participants exhibited under the DTCMs umbrella at the MITT and most of them reported good business.
The Dubai stand received almost 700 travel trade visitors during the four-day event including tour operators and travel agencies from Moscow, 82 Russian cities, 11 CIS and Baltic States, said DTCM Manager Overseas Promotions, Ibrahim Ahli, who represented the department at the event.
He noted that the Dubai stand was honored by the visit of Mrs. Natella Shengelia/Head of Tourism Department, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation, and by Mr. Alexei Volin/Deputy Head, Administrative bodies of the Government of the Russian Federation. |
