Dragonair has
launched a new tracking facility for cargo customers at its website,
www.dragonair.com. The Shipment Status Tracking service allows shippers
to access the most up-to-date information on the status of their goods.
“This new facility adds another level of service to our cargo
customers,” said Alan Lai, Dragonair’s Manager Cargo. “It’s fast,
convenient and available 24 hours a day.”
The new service comes at a time when Dragonair is building up its
presence in the cargo market. It operates one wet-leased Boeing 747-200
freighter and will see two Boeing 747-300s added to its fleet in July
2001 and September 2001 respectively.
“We’re looking to strengthen our services all the time, and facilities
such as Shipment Tracking Status demonstrate our commitment to this,”
Alan Lai said.
To access the service, users go to the cargo page of Dragonair’s website
and type in the airway bill number. They can check five status
categories, including “received”, “departed” and “delivered”.
Dragonair is a Hong Kong based airline, operating a fleet of five
A330-300s, three A321s and six A320s in addition to the Boeing 747-200
freighter. It will almost double its fleet by the end of 2005. The
airline’s passenger network covers 27 destinations across the
Asia-Pacific region, including 17 in mainland China. |
