NEW MANAGERS AT ASIAN TRAILS LTD

Asian Trails Ltd. has appointed Renato Domini (26, Swiss) as Inbound Manager. Renato Domini, former Resident Manager of Kuoni Travel Ltd. Phuket, will be responsible for the International Market. Mrs Chandira Santiphatanakij, former Inbound Manager, has been promoted to the position of Manager Incentives & Conventions, also maintaining responsibility for Inbound tours from Asia.

Air-India to Introduce Direct Non-Stop Services Between Mumbai and Singapore

Air-India will introduce thrice weekly direct non-stop services between India and Singapore with effect from August 11, 2001. Air-India will also continue to operate its 16 other weekly services via Chennai, Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad. With the commencement of the new non-stop flights, the total number of Air-India services between India and Singapore will be raised to 19 a week.

The flights, which have convenient night time departures and early morning arrivals, offer excellent connections to passengers travelling from Singapore to Australia and the West Coast of the USA. The new flights, which will reduce travel time considerably, will be operated as follows:

Special promotional fares are being offered to passengers travelling on the new direct services to Singapore. Passengers travelling on the first non-stop service to Singapore will also get a chance to win a free Mumbai-Singapore-Mumbai ticket.

Air-India at present operates 16 flights a week from India to Singapore. Three of them halt at Kuala Lumpur and three are extended to Jakarta. While 15 flights originate in Mumbai, one originates in Delhi. Of the flights from Mumbai, nine are operated via Chennai and two each are routed via Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The flight which originates in Delhi on Sundays is operated via Chennai.
