Janie Kaung

Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific

Janie Kaung is executive vice president and managing director of Galileo’s Asia Pacific region at Galileo International. She is responsible for the distribution of Galileo International’s travel systems and services to subscriber customers in the Asia Pacific region. As head of the fastest growing region in the travel industry she also spearheads Galileo’s entry into new countries.

Janie has many years of experience covering a wide spectrum of information technology activities, along with an extensive regional and international background working for multinational companies.

Based in Hong Kong, Janie joined Galileo International in June 1994 from Logica Limited where she was their regional managing director responsible for Logica business in the Far East.

Prior to Logica, Janice held a number of senior positions at ICL between 1967 and 1989 and was ICL’s managing director in Hong Kong.

Janie completed a Masters degree in Mathematics, History and Philosophy of Science at Cambridge University in the UK. She also attended a Senior Executive Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business in the USA.

Janie is married and has two sons.
