Offers Greater
Choice to Passengers
Dragonair has completed a refurbishment programme for its Airbus A330s
which means passengers can now choose to fly Business Class in all the
aircraft in its fleet. The A330s previously offered a choice of First
Class or Economy Class.
“We’re committed to improving our services to passengers on an ongoing
basis and the Business Class initiative in our A330s is a clear
demonstration of that,” said James Yeung, Dragonair’s General Manager
Commercial. “The cabins offer greater comfort and cater to the demands
of our passengers.”
Following the completion of the refurbishment programme Dragonair’s
A330s now feature a three-class service, with 30 seats in First Class,
42 in Business Class, and 214 in Economy Class. The A330s mainly serve
the airline’s mainland China destinations, where business travel is
expected to rise once China formally joins the World Trade Organisation.
“This ensures our service not only remains competitive, but continues to
meet growing demand for business travel between Hong Kong and mainland
cities,” James Yeung said.
To mark the launch of the new cabins, passengers who fly return in
Business Class with Dragonair between now and February 28 will receive
an additional 2,500 Asia Miles points.
Dragonair is a Hong Kong based airline, operating a fleet of five
A330-300s, three A321s and six A320s in addition to the Boeing 747-200
freighter. It will almost double its fleet by the end of 2005. The
airline’s passenger network covers 27 destinations across the
Asia-Pacific region, including 17 in mainland China, while its cargo
network connects the markets of Europe, the Middle East and China.
