Philippine
Airlines cancelled its last flight from Manila to Hong Kong today, PR
310, after weather authorities warned of strong winds and heavy rain
spawned by tropical storm Feria (international code name: “Utor”).
The return service to Manila, PR 311, was also cancelled.
Passengers on these flights will be accommodated on the first available
flights tomorrow.
PR 310 had been scheduled to depart Manila at 5:45 p.m. PR 311 would
have departed Hong Kong at 8:50 p.m.
Typhoon Feria, packing winds of 170 kilometers per hour, was last
tracked late this afternoon over the Batanes Islands in the northernmost
reaches of the Philippines – effectively blocking the flight paths of PR
310 and PR 311.
These were the only flight cancellations of PAL today. The airline has
133 scheduled flights today – 88 domestic and 45 international. |
