THE ORIENTAL, BANGKOK UNVEILS NEWLY RENOVATED ROOMS AND SUITES

To commemorate its 125th Anniversary during the year 2001, The Oriental, Bangkok is unveiling totally renovated rooms and suites located in the River Wing of its property.

Featuring 307 luxurious rooms and 30 suites, the River Wing of The Oriental, Bangkok has undergone an extensive refurbishment, from rooms to lifts to hallways, right down to the finest details. This US$28 million renovation includes replacement of all building facilities such as air conditioning, electrical and plumbing services, and comprehensive acoustic treatment of guestrooms. All rooms and suites now feature new luxurious bathrooms with separate walk-in shower, digitally controlled bedside panel, high technology telecommunications facilities with internet access, and state-of-the-art Bose Lifestyle system hi-fi entertainment centre. Moreover, each room and suite has been individually designed and boasts soft furnishings in Thai silk and golden teak flooring. From the largest suite to every room in the wing, the renovations have harmoniously transformed The Oriental, Bangkok’s River Wing into an exquisite balance of modern technology and sumptuous comfort.

Apart from the unveiling of its new rooms and suites, The Oriental, Bangkok is also introducing two new services for its guests: a daycare centre which will be managed by dedicated and specially-trained staff, and a courtesy shuttle boat service to the nearest skytrain station, enabling another convenient route of easy access to the hotel.
