International, a wholly owned subsidiary of HARS Systems, Inc. (HSS:
CDNX), has announced a reservation technology and e-commerce marketing
services agreement with Hong Kong's largest hotel group, Regal Hotels
International, for seven hotel properties in the Asian Pacific region
and one in Canada's largest metropolitan area.
Regal Hotels International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Regal Hotels
International Holdings Limited, currently manages five hotels in the
Hong Kong metropolitan area, namely Regal Airport Hotel at the Hong Kong
International Airport; Regal Hongkong Hotel in Causeway Bay; Regal
Kowloon Hotel in Tsimshatsui East; Regal Kaitak Hotel in Kowloon City;
and Regal Riverside Hotel in Shatin. In addition, the Group operates two
hotels in Shanghai, Regal International East Asia Hotel and Regal
Shanghai East Asia Hotel, and one, Regal Constellation Hotel, in
Toronto, Canada.
Strategically located, the eight Regal Hotels offer a diverse range of
accommodations and facilities catering to travelers from all over the
world. There are some 4,700 fine rooms and 48 restaurants and bars in
total.
Under the agreement, VIP International will provide the eight Regal
Hotels International hotel properties with global distribution system
(GDS) representation; electronic distribution to the Internet's leading
travel portals and sites; access to the SynXis Agent® web-enabled
central reservation system; implementation of the SynXis Book-A-Rez®
Internet booking engine on each hotel property's proprietary Web site;
and worldwide toll free voice reservation services including the
activation of Regal’s global UIFN 800.222.88888 that will be implemented
in numerous countries starting January 2002.
To complement the full array of reservation technology and marketing
services being provided to Regal Hotels International, VIP International
has also recruited Japanese language reservation sales specialist to
generate reservations through Regal Hotels International's toll free
reservation lines, via the VIP International Reservation Sales Center.

Commenting on the agreement, VIP International's president Mr. Kelly
Blake reiterated VIP International's August 8, 2001 press release, where
the Company announced the move of industry veteran Anita Chan to Hong
Kong to act as VP Asia Pacific. "We foresaw the potential that the Asian
Pacific market has for our company, and with Ms. Chan located directly
in one of the region's commercial centers we should be able to attract
high quality hotel clients. We are extremely pleased that a well
respected and high profile hotel group such as Regal Hotels
