All Nippon
Airways (ANA) and Air Japan (AJX), will reduce service between Osaka and
Guam by two flights per week starting October 4 and continuing through
the end of the summer schedule on October 27.
Responding to short-term market trends with the reduction of service to
seven flights per week from nine between Osaka (KIX) and Guam, the ANA
Group will maintain one daily roundtrip in the market. Currently ANA
operates seven roundtrip flights (B747-400) a week on the route and Air
Japan operates two weekly roundtrips (B767-300).
The cancelled flights are as follows: ANA-operated flights on October
11, 18, 25, and AJX-operated flights on October 4, 6 13, 20 ,27*.
In addition, to better match demand, ANA will replace the 569-seat
B747-400 originally scheduled for service between the destinations with
a 216-seat B767-300 on the following flight dates: October 9, 10, 19,
21, 22, 23, 24.
ANA will continue to review network planning for the winter schedule
period from October 28, 2001 to March 30, 2002 and announce changes as
soon as they have been determined.
