CARLSON HOTELS WORLDWIDE APPOINTS FRANCIS KILLORY DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT FOR ASIA-PACIFIC

Carlson Hotels Worldwide today announced the appointment of Francis Killory as director of development for Asia-Pacific, opening a new office in Hong Kong. Killory will focus on strategic expansion of Carlson Hotels brands including Regent International Hotels and Radisson Hotels & Resorts in key cities throughout the region. He will also work closely with Carlson Hotels management and development officials based in Sydney and Minneapolis.

Carlson Hotels Worldwide has targeted Asia-Pacific as a top development priority for the continuing globalization of the organization. Killory will initially focus on development in the Peoples Republic of China, Japan and Thailand.

Killory, a veteran of hospitality development in the region and fluent in Chinese and Japanese, most recently served as vice president development Asia Pacific for Meridien Hotels & Resorts. Prior to this, he was a hospitality consultant with TransAct Asia for leading hotel companies in the region and advised Goldman Sachs on key China hotel investment markets. He has also served as the director of development for China for Holiday Inns Worldwide.

Earlier in his career, Killory served as manager of PRC Investment for Chesterton Petty Ltd., providing consultancy services to multinational clients investing in China office, retail and hotel markets.

Killory earned a Masters in Business Administration from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management.
