Special Double
Miles Offer Marks New Frequent-Flyer Programme Partnership
Members of JAL Mileage Bank, the frequent-flyer programme of Japan
Airlines, are able to earn and redeem mileage for free flights on
Dragonair with effect June 1. And to celebrate, eligible members will be
able to receive a double mileage bonus for flights taken before July 31
this year.
“I’d like to offer a warm welcome to all JAL Mileage Bank members flying
with Dragonair,” said Chief Executive Officer Stanley Hui. “We’re
pleased that your flights on the airline of choice to some of Asia’s
most fascinating destinations will now be even more rewarding. This
initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to provide the best value
possible to our customers.”
Also welcoming members is the opportunity to earn twice the normal
number of miles on Dragonair flights from June 1 to July 31. This bonus
offer is open to JAL Mileage Bank members resident in Japan, who must
register their participation in the promotion before flying.
Registration can be made at the Japan Airlines website, www.jal.co.jp.
JAL Mileage Bank is one of the biggest frequent-flyer programmes in Asia
and has more than eight million members worldwide. It is the second
frequent-flyer programme with which Dragonair has partnered; members of
Asia Miles are already able to earn and redeem points with the airline.
Dragonair is a Hong Kong-based airline, operating a fleet of six
A330-300s (including the one delivered yesterday), three A321s and seven
A320s, in addition to a Boeing 747-200 freighter. It is currently in the
midst of a programme to more than double its fleet by the end of 2005,
and as part of that will be taking delivery of one more new A330 in June
2001. The airline's passenger network covers 27 destinations across the
Asia-Pacific region, while its cargo network connects the markets of
Europe, the Middle East, Japan and China. |
